A Very Special Visit with My Cousins Erica and Makenzie

On April 3, 2010, my grandfather drove down with two of my cousins that had flown in to visit Arizona. Erica flew in from Ohio and Makenzie flew in from Michigan. This was the first visit in almost ten years since I had seen my paternal first cousins. This was also the very first time Jeremy got to meet them. I cannot believe how wonderfully amazing these two women are. Both are so smart and witty. Jeremy really enjoyed getting to meet them. Jeremy and I wanted to make sure they got a taste of Arizona, so I went to the Carniceria at the corner of First and Prince and picked up 3 pounds of deliciously marinated carne asada. This place came highly recommended by my friend Kaytee. Jeremy made homemade salsa and guacamole and grilled the carne asada. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and were able to spend quality time catching up. April 3rd was an unforgettable evening. I will never let 10 years pass before seeing my cousins again. :)
